To establish partnerships between German higher education institutions and higher education institutions in developing and emerging countries for sustainable promotion of structures at partner institutions in teaching and research.

To support the development of competence centres by German HEIs and their partners in developing countries in order to solve major development challenges.

The programme aims to promote the establishment of initial contact between institutions. Exposure to the German higher education system along with an exchange of cultures and ideas is facilitated through visits to at least two German universities by a group of Indian students (minimum – 10, maximum – 15) along with a university faculty.
